Quickball:

Again this year JALL is offering Quickball in the Fall. This 6 week program will run on Sundays at noon or 1pm from September 7-October 12. The program will be at the Abington Friends school and not Alverthorpe. Please consider coaching since Quickball needs many instructors to make it work. Space will be limited this year so sign up as soon as possible.

Baseball:

The purpose of fall baseball is to afford players of all skill levels an opportunity to continue to build their skills and compete in an organized travel baseball league.  Above all else fall ball should be fun.

Compared with our more competitive spring and summer programs, coaches will be sensitive to the fact that parents place priority on schoolwork and that some players will be participating in other traditional fall sports. Fall ball games are scheduled so they don't conflict with other sports. Most games are either Friday nights, or Sunday afternoons. Traditional fall sports usually play on Saturday mornings. The expectation is that players attend practices for their primary fall sport first and baseball when they can.

Fall ball players get a boost in confidence when moving up to a new level. Transition players almost always need some time to adjust to the next level, whether it's batting from a machine, facing live kid pitching, or adapting to steals and pick-offs on a new size field, there is always a learning curve for any player moving up to the next level. Fall ball players get a jump on the curve by playing at the next level before most of the other players.
