Practice Guidelines

  • Coaches will be required to have an infrared thermometer, extra masks and hand sanitizer on them at every practice.
  • All coaching staff and any other adult personnel must wear a mask during practices.
  • Coaches will modify practices to mitigate the risk of spreading the virus by limiting close contact and focusing on individual skills building versus competition.
  • Coaches and players must maintain social distance whenever possible. During downtime or while not engaged in practice or gameplay, players shall wear masks and maintain social distance.
  • Parents should check their child’s temperature before coming to practice.  Please keep your child home if they have a temperature above 100 degrees and/or are experiencing any Covid symptoms. When dropping off a player for practice, a parent or caregiver should not leave until the coach or team representative has had a chance to analyze the player. Coaches or a team representative will check player temperatures as they arrive to practice or a game and document the result. If a player has a temperature or any symptoms, they will leave immediately and cannot return until they have a negative COVID test from a doctor. See Confirmed COVID Cases below for more information.
  • All individuals will be required to bring their own water bottle. Sharing water bottles will not be allowed.
  • No equipment shall be shared by players. All players should bring their own ball to practices.
  • Coaches will be instructed to have their players and parents leave the field immediately after practices to limit interactions. Questions for the coach should be done through text or email at a later time.
  • Coaches will educate players on the proper hygiene behaviors they should be following before, during, and after practice. Caregivers and parents will be asked to refrain from attending practices. If attending practice, they will be required to follow the same rules as the coaches by wearing a mask at all times and practicing social distancing rules.
  • Coaches will be the only personnel to touch any practice equipment (cones, soccer balls, etc.) and will make sure to disinfect the equipment properly.

Game Guidelines

  • Coaches will be required to have an infrared thermometer, extra masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer on them at every game.
  • Parents should check their child’s temperature before coming to a game.  Please keep your child home if they have a temperature above 100 degrees and/or are experiencing any Covid symptoms. When dropping off a player for game, a parent or caregiver should not leave until the coach or team representative has had a chance to analyze the player.  Coaches or a team representative will check player temperatures as they arrive to the game, document the result, ask questions to determine if the player is feeling any symptoms related to COVID.  If a player has a temperature or any symptoms, they will leave immediately and cannot return until they have a negative COVID test from a doctor.  See Confirmed COVID Cases below for more information.
  • All coaches will wear a mask during games.
  • Coaches and players shall maintain social distance when possible.  When players come out of the game, they will be instructed to go away from the team bench area to sterilize their hands, regain their breath, take a drink, and then must put a mask on when they return to the team bench area.
  • All players will be instructed to limit contact with other individuals by not participating in post-game fist bumps or high fives.
  • Players must separate as much as possible while in the team bench area.
  • Spectators will need to practice a social distance of 6 ft when not from the same household.  Also parents will be asked to wear masks at all times.
  • Spectators will not enter the field of play or bench area at any time.
  • Emerging symptoms during an activity means removal from activity and they cannot return until they are symptom free and have had a negative COVID test from a doctor.

Confirmed COVID Cases

  • Immediately isolate and seek medical care for any individual who develops symptoms. The individual will need to stay away from all team activities for 14 days.
  • Contact the local health center about suspected cases or exposure.
  • Immediately contact the League Coordinator (Listed above)
  • The team will notify all families and players who attended the same practices or games as a precaution and individual testing is encouraged if a player is symptomatic.
  • The Club Coordinator will send an email out to all the families on the team of the positive case and notify one of the club representative of the positive case as well.
  • Any infected players must have a doctor’s note with a clean Covid test before they can return back to practice and/or games.
